Leadership
Toan Vo
Managing Principal
Toan Vo is a Professional Engineer (P.E.) and Real Estate Developer with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Temple University. He has extensive expertise in forensic engineering and designed architectural, structural and geotechnical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
Toan has traveled across the U.S. to provide post-disaster recovery and forensic evaluations following hurricanes and other natural disasters. He developed retrofit and remediation plans, reinforcing structures to meet updated building codes. His expertise also led to invitations as an Expert Witness in legal proceedings.
His previous engineering experiences included serving as a First Responder and Incident Commander in the utilities industry, where he managed crisis response and infrastructure safety. He also has a background in renovation and remodeling projects, bringing practical construction insight to his engineering work. In 2016, he was awarded the Presidential Award for mitigating dangerous field conditions with his engineering design and has since been recognized for his continued contributions to Civil Engineering.
In 2020, Toan founded ELFRETH, beginning with a charitable act of service. A community church, a humble single-floor building had encountered a significant setback. An alleged act of vandalism led to a fire that engulfed the roof, leaving a sizable hole. To compound the situation, heavy rain fell soon after, leading to further damage inside the building. The news about what happened spread fast via articles and broadcasts. This was a hard hit to the neighborhood, especially for the people who often attend their local church. Soon after, Toan’s vision transformed the once-small single-level church into a aesthetic, spacious, multistory community center.
Since then, Toan has become known as the trusted advisor to municipalities and local governments and the real estate investor-friendly engineer, earning a widespread reputation for his coaching spirit as well as his honesty, expertise, loyalty and commitment.
